Larissa Punzalan is a passionate Holistic Nutritionist. After graduating from the University of Toronto, she went on to achieve her diploma in Applied Holistic Nutrition at the Institute of Holistic Nutrition.
Along with being a Holistic Nutritionist, Larissa spends most of her time in the kitchen, developing and testing out new recipes for her holistic nutrition and all things food blog – A Little Piece of Reese.
She grew up in a home where the heart of all gatherings revolved around the kitchen and food. She learned to cook and bake at a young age of 4 from her mother. Ever since then, her passion has always been food. She holds the philosophy in life that food has so many healing properties and has the natural ability to prevent disease. It was this philosophy and her passion for food that led her to become a Holistic Nutritionist. What she values most about the holistic approach is that it takes into account a person’s individuality. Larissa does not believe in a one-size fits all approach when it comes to nutrition. She always takes into account the whole individual – body, mind, and spirt – as well as lifestyle, genetics, and environmental factors that may play a role in a person’s well-being.
Larissa’s philosophy regarding nutrition is that feeling good and eating healthy can be very simple and that it is all about balance. She takes the approach of practicality by taking small steps that will lead to bigger changes in the long run. She works with her clients to ensure that changes to a healthier life are attainable and sustainable over the long-term and strives to ensure everyone who works with her can achieve optimal wellness.
